The vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi, has reacted to the news of security operatives searching the private jet of Atiku Abubakar.
We reported yesterday that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, accused security agents of the state of trying to intimidate him after they searched him and his private jet upon arriving Abuja from Dubai on Sunday morning.
He took to Twitter and wrote: “I arrived to Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff. I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of state who are paid to protect them. Together, #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain.”
According to TheCable, while commenting on the trending issue, Peter Obi, the vice-presidential candidate and Atiku’s running mate, said the only reason security operatives searched the private jet of Atiku, is because he is the presidential candidate of an opposition party.
Speaking when he featured on a programme on Arise Television, Peter Obi accused the current administration of harassing its opponents.
